Georgina's All New Moo 2020
Georgina Freeman
My Story
Hello everyone! I’m Georgina and on Saturday 12th September I will be walking 10 miles (16km) for the Willen Hospice ‘All New’ Moo. Due to Coronavirus, the Hospice’s annual Midnight Moo Walk can’t go ahead, instead the ‘All New’ Moo will be taking place during the day, meaning that small groups + individuals can be socially distanced and still take part!
As you can imagine, fundraising events have been severely affected this year which means Willen needs our help now more than ever. The team at the hospice do everything they can to provide heartfelt, quality care for their patients and support their loved ones so they can enjoy the precious time they have left together.
From personal experience I know how much of a difference the team at Willen make. My sister Henrietta has an undiagnosed progressive neurological condition which means she has become more involved with the hospice in the last couple of years. Her stays at the hospice make a world of difference, especially after long periods of time in hospital. Having somewhere to go that is as peaceful and ‘non-clinical’ as Willen means my sister is able to rest and take time to adjust to the changes in her condition before coming home to be with her family and friends.
I can’t imagine how we would have coped as a family this year without the team and their help! Thank you for supporting me to support Willen Hospice.
